While its still Thursday for most of us, the sun was rising high in the sky on a Friday morning in Perth, Australia. Hundreds of girls lined up outside a store that was opening up at 9 that morning. The sea of teenage girls known as ‘Directioners’ counted down to the 9am opening. The opening of the ‘One Direction’ merchandise store. Other stores have popped up recently in places like Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Wellington in New Zealand, where thousands of fans queued up to snap up the merchandise which included; band member dolls, phone covers, bags, posters, T-shirts, hoodies, wristbands and notebooks.
The Perth store is at 64 Barrack Street, opposite the Murray Street Mall, until Sunday, July 22.
